China Glaze Holiday Joy Collection 2012: Selected swatches and Review

Today I have 6 colors from the China Glaze Holiday Joy Collection 2012.

"The holiday season: it is truly the most wonderful time of the year – for nails!  From gorgeous glitters to rich crèmes, ‘tis the season to add sparkle and shine to any manicure and pedicure.  Celebrate the season in colour with the new China Glaze® Holiday Joy collection!"

"Merry Berry"
2 coats, no top coat

This is a rich berry red creme. Definitely a holiday staple for everyone's nail polish collection. This color is not unique as I am almost positive I have several color that are similar, but if you do not have one, then get this one. Application was smooth and easy and I had no issues with pooling dragging etc.

"Red Satin"
2 coats, no top coat

Gorgeous! This is a smooth blue toned red creme. Not a unique color, but every gal needs a "date red" and THIS is the perfect "date red". No application issues, and it dried nice and shiny. :)

I noticed something about these 2 bottles, they are the perfect bookends for China Glazes' holiday red "Winter Berry" released last year.

Left to Right: "Merry Berry", "Winter Berry" (last years holiday release), and "Red Satin" :)

These pics make "Winter Berry" and "Red Satin" look alike, but "Winter Berry" is actually just a "hair" darker :)

"Pure Joy"
3 coats, with top coat

Woot! Amazing, fire red glitter and gold..nothing says "Holiday" like glitter! This glitter gave me no issues, applied easily and the glitter did NOT have to be "placed" on the nail :).... and in indirect lighting...

Oh yeah...tis the season!

Here it is, 1 coat of "Pure Joy" over "Red Satin", with top coat :)

Wow, the glitter really bring the red creme to another level, but I think 2 coats is better over the red creme than 1 coat.

In indirect lighting to show the glitter detail...

Yep, definitely doing 2 coats the next time, to really make it POP!

"Glitter All The Way"
3 coats, with top coat

In indirect light...

AMAZING!!! I am in love with this multi-colored glitter! This has amazing red, green, gold and purple glitter...I love it! Applied easily, no issues!

"Angel Wings"
3 coats, with top coat

Now a "fuzzy shot" to make the glitter JUMP...

*faints* That IS amazing, but a bit familiar... Hhmmm...

Left to Right: "Angel Wings" and "Ultamate Holiday"...yep, they are dupes! :) Angel Wings is a fabulous gold dust glitter, that is easily opaque in 3 coats.

and now my favorite...

"Blue Bells Ring"
2 coats, no top coat

In indirect lighting...

I love blues, and I love blue foils even MORE! This is a perfect ice blue foil! It's smooth, easy to apply, and boy does it SHINE!

I have to thank my fellow blogger Briana over at Nail A College Drop Out, for putting "brown bloggers" back on the "polish sample radar", thanks love! Check out her cute manicure for today!
